The False Justice Movement

As I was praying in the shower last night, something began to stir on my heart that has often been a subject of reflection for me. With what is unfolding around us (both in our nation and abroad), I feel that this phenomenon is a matter of increasing urgemcy and importance for the church. It is the rise of what I’m calling the “False Justice Movement” – and hidden inside it is something evil and insidious.

What is the False Justice Movement? Fundamentally, it’s the pursuit of justice and peace based on human (and demonic) wisdom, and divorced from the supreme importance of Christ and the absolute truth of His Word. It tells us that we’re all humans (true), that we all have common goals (also true), and that therefore, we can all reach towards them together, in a spirit of unity, without the help of any one “religion” or god (FALSE). In essence, it is humanism.

On the outside, it looks so innocent, and it just feels so right. It’s so easy to feel like that we’re automatically operating in a right spirit and pleasing God when we are coming into agreement with others. The reality is, though, that we are actually unwittingly advancing the kingdom of darkness when we come into agreement with a spirit that is contrary to the Spirit of Christ. There can be no true justice for anyone apart from the Man Jesus Christ. And, only insomuch as we come into agreement with Him (as individuals and as a society) can we move towards true justice. There is no other plumbline, no other safe standard from which we can operate. The “good of humanity”, when used as a plumbline, will lead us astray.

There is a spirit that is contrary to the Spirit of Christ, and it has a distinct agenda. It’s called the Anti-Christ Spirit, and I believe it is becoming the predominate spirit of this age. I believe that it is rallying through the False Justice Movement in ways both cunning and powerful. In fact, I would go so far as to say that seeking the collective ultimate good of humanity, when dissociated from the central and unaltered truth of Christ, is an EXPRESSION of the Anti-Christ Spirit.

Furthermore, the Bible is clear that this spirit (and, ultimately, the man who will one day embody it) will lead many astray. I also believe it to be clear that this agenda’s platform and message is built in part on calling people towards a central and “common” goal – the peace, prosperity and wellbeing of humanity – with all their “beautiful diversity” (read: various expressions of sin). Does that sound good? Many “believers” are going to think so, and so be ensnared. Even now, many in the church are buying into what they perceive as a positive and unifying world mission. Don’t be deceived.

Make no mistake – this movement is going to culminate in Psalms 2 – nations and leaders conspiring to forever and definitively rebel against the Lord and His anointed. Why? Because God’s righteousness, truth, and justice stand in stark and incompatible contrast with a worldview that glorifies the good of humanity above all else. In fact, that worldview will always, ALWAYS ultimately produce a rage against Christ, His inflexible truth, and all those who take their stand upon His Word. Many in the church who follow this path will actually believe at first they are doing God a favor, that they are standing on the Kingdom principles of peace, unity, and love. But, in the end, the truth will be revealed – they hate Christ, and instead love a God made in their own image.

In closing, this is absolutely not a call for sowing division. In an increasingly divided world, the church needs to stand in unity more than ever before. What’s more, we need to strive to be at peace with all men, insomuch as we can. But, we also need to see clearly, as a time is fast approaching (and even now is upon us) where deception is going to run ever more rampant among many so-called Christians. Our unity must be founded soundly upon the truth, not a mutual agreement to compromise or de-prioritize it.

In this case, the means is every bit as important as the end goal. Because in it is the difference between the Spirit of Christ and the Spirit of the Anti-Christ.

  1. Thank you for “putting meat” on what our 5 adult children & their spouses are all engaged in currently=humanism.

You are of their generation. My husband & I appreciate you sharing what you have received from our Creator & Redeemer via His Holy Spirit. Your words of clarity help us to understand where they all are in regards of this massive deception.

We will be re-reading this entry & attempt to keep our eyes open for more of what the Holy Spirit continues to give you as He uses the gifts & insights to share with others such as ourselves. You will be on our prayer list.

    Thank you, Philip.
